Hello, I am rather new to this and I wanted to know if there are any upgrades for my particular notebook. I assume that the video card and graphics card are not upgradeable and I think this is also true for the processor but if there is anything I would be most thankful for any help.

Thanks,
Stephen

Ok I looked up some of the specs of my notebook and here they are:

3 gigs of RAM
Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370 @ 1.73GHz Model 15, Stepping 13
17 inch LCD screen
160 gig harddrive

Unfortunately, according to the HP website, the system is maxxed out. It has integrated graphics, and the chipset only supports 3Gb memory. You could replace the hard drive with something larger or with a faster spindle.

Now, I know desktop versions of the chipset do support 4Gb memory - however, unless you are willing to buy the correct memory and try it, there is no certainty of it working.

Ok thank you for your help. I do have a question about an older IBM ThinkPad, should I start a new thread?

Thanks,
Stephen

Not if it's related, you won't need to.

Well it isn't really, but I would like to know if it is possible to replace the motherboard in and old IBM ThinkPad T22. Mine blew a few years ago before I got the one referenced in the thread title.

Thanks,
Stephen

Nevermind, it is replaceable, however the screen is cracked big time so it is really not worth it to replace.

Thanks,
Stephen
