Yeah.. i need to get a DvD drive. I know doom doesn't support it-yet- but Unreal was just not fun.

I'll wait until the DVD version comes out and maybe by then it will be cheaper.

Darn it! I wish everyone would just upgrade from CD to DVD drives. If you can't afford a $30 DVD player to replace the antiquated CD player how can you afford the $50 game. Or even better yet a $300-$500 video card. After the initial quick sell out of UT2004 on DVD I can't believe they didn't put out Far Cry on DVD. I hope they release any future games over 3 CDs on DVD.

Well maybe if you actually read id's official announcement or any of the reviews/interviews, you would know it's about the production cost of two versions, not that enough people don't have DVD drives...

My point is there should be 1 version not 2. The DVD version!

Well, I know for sure MS Flight Simulator 2004 is on 4 CD's, because I have it. Is there a DVD version though? If not, that's just plain silly if you ask me.

You know, the best deal right now is to get a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. They only cost $40-$60, and you can still get max speeds like as if the drives were seperate (52x/32x/52x CD-RW || 16x DVD-ROM).

Stupid people might get confused when they see a DVD version. They might try and put it on there XBOX or PS2.

Anyways, just to keep things clear, that could call it "PC-DVD-ROM".
