Just wondering if anyone has noticed a few odd things about the game Titanfall. First off my rig: i7 3770k @ stock speeds, Asetek CLC, 16GB Ballistix 1600Mhz RAM, EVGA GTX 680 Sig. 2 Superclocked, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB (boot), 1TB Hitachi 7200RPM HDD, Corsair TX650w PSU, HP BDROM, ASRock Z75 mobo, and twin 22" 1920x1080 monitors @60Hz (one Samsung, one LG).
In game I noticed a few oddities in Titanfall and I was wondering if anyone else has seen these same things. The game runs fine mind you. I mean very smooth, and has never locked up or crashed. I get anywhere from 70-90FPS at 1920x1080 with all settings maxed, but I noticed my RAM usage is hitting over 7GB! BF4 only get to around 5-ish GB, and I though it was supposed to be a VERY demanding game. My CPU usage is only around 40% on Titanfall and temps stay in the mid 40's (C) [and this is with three or four programs running in background + iTunes]. GPU-Z shows my GPU load fluctuating around 60-70%, whereas on BF4 it stays up in the 90's, so it's not stressing out my 680 too much.
So why is this game using such a crazy high amount of RAM? I've been told before that my 16GB was overkill, and no one needs more than 8GB for general use and gaming. Well, if I only had 8GB I would be crashing like a mother in Titanfall.
Again, nothing crazy is happening or glitching out, and everything is running smooth and cool, but is this normal? Just curious.
