I was wondering if any of you guys have bought or played Need for Speed: Underground. I'm usually a FPS fan, but I have played this game on PS2 and managed to enjoy it.

I'm trying to find the best pc control set up. Is a keyboard/mouse combo usable or is it better to have a joystick or something similar?

i've played the game, and it kicks ass, i've used my keyboard which is okay, but my favorite way to play is with my Xbox Controller

I hav eit for XBox and that game does rock, but I like the XBox controller as well. you could prolly set up a wheel if you wanted to. I would just mod/buy an XBox controller for your PC.

I have been thinking of a gamepad for a while, but not seriously. I remember playing an older version with a keyboard and I didn't like it much at all, but I think a wheel is a little much for me. Any suggestions for a good gamepad?

depends if you want shock on your gamepad for your pc. if not, i would recommend logitech's dual analog controller Dual Analog Link. You don't even need drivers for this one. Pop into your usb port and it's good to go. as you'll see, it's much like the ps2 controller (which i like very much). to me, the ps2 controller is the best out there. i use the ps2 controller for my xbox too.

it looks like they have a rumble version that's also cordless Cordless Rumble 2. But I have not had personal experience with this one.

Testing controllers is part of something I do, but i have not tested the latest and greatest ones out there recently. so far, in my experience, the dual ananlog is the best i've tested. that could be biased b/c i'm a big ps2 controller fan. hope that helps.

Thanks, that does help. I usually prefer Logitec; they just kick ass.

rice is shit. you can still build clean-looking stuff. there's still a good fun-factor and I like that.

it's got that "pimp my ride" feel to it... I like it, I haven't played the second one though.
