Think p2p networks. And you'd better own those original games.

*Wonders if forum rules prevent asking these questions like the old commport*

Not only are we not allowed to help thieves, but I believe that we are encouraged to beat with their own idiocy.

If the ROM involves piracy, yes.

If the ROM involves legal abandonware, no.

Is there something wrong with me laying about with my smacking stick? :?

Maybe it's me..but when I think of emulators, I'm thinking of the old Nitendos, ataris, apples, commadores...

heck..I found a couple of images of the old Wizardry games (proving grounds, kight of diamonds, etc..)...still cool as hell to play :)

I dun think so, the rat and marshmellow are the best.

Though I am guilty of enjoying using nesses bastardly abilities.

I played it for about an hour at a friends house, it seems like it might grow on me, but nothing can touch the classic.

SOMEONE needs to go through and fix up that game, balance a few characters (LINK!) and add netcode and some extra maps. I could play that game for all eternity if that happened.

Smash brothers was fun, (and link does rock) but nothing beats good ol' game of Goldeneye. But seriously - you really should own the actual games. It is illegal to download them and use them if you do not own the original, and they aren't that expensive anyway.

Link was ALMOST the coolest character of the game. He needed some serious tweaking though. His jumping sucked ass and all of his moves were slow on the execution, if it wasn't for my ability to predict what other people were gonna do I'd be boned using him. And of course the comps are just insane so there's no predicting what THEY'RE going to do next.

Link was always my fave in spite of the slow execution. I always found that Fox was good (if not a little cheap) for trapping people in corners and beating the crap out of them one on one. Whenever I got bored or beaten as Link I would just pick DK and take people off the side on my back.

Fox is crazy fast and has MAD kung-fu action. But so does the Rat when you master it. The rat also has "trapping people in the corner and raping them" action (aka headbutt action)

DK just plain sucks.
