Ok, let me explain. I started out with Star Craft and it's expansion pack and had fun with it but never finished. Messed with the first Homeworld which was a beast, but it was sooooo hard! :( I did this other RTS which had tanks, foot troops, and other stuff like that, but is was in 3-D, which to me was really nice. Can't remember the name though.

I'd want something that's easy enough to get into and play, but you still need some strategy to make it through the game. Also, could you recommend some RTS' that out there that women will play? I mean, it's my fiance's cpu so I'd like for her to try it out as well. Thanks in advance all. Oh yeah, just for the record, I do want to get WarCraft III.

Kind of old by now, but maybe try Settlers4? Your better half might like it 'cause of the cute littel guys she will be ordering around.

The strategy factor is kind of low, though. In battle, the guys you fight with only seem to have the one tactic; to swarm you and hope to overwhelm you.

On the plus side, even the local 'ware-monger (a great fat, greedy, stupid twi) sells the game for 10 bucks. Canadian, at that!

Rise Of Nations

The interface is easy to use and as complex as you want it to be with key shortcuts. Games usually take around an hour and they're different and fun every time. The use of government in the Thrones & Patriots expansion was actually implemented well enough not to hinder game play at all.
