Yup. Pissed. It's funny that they didn't mention that Interplay is now history. And I call this a "Jack". All VU is, is a distributer. The fact that some company slaves away making a real work of art, then to have the distributer sit on it (for really no reason at all but to prove that they can) is childish.
They're arguing that they'll sit on it because Valve said it'd be done and ready to release in Sept? Big Fregg'n deal! So, it's done and set to release...who cares? I don't see why VU would get up tight about the creator telling the public when they'll be complete with a given project.
I really hope this is the end of Vivendi. They haven't been a good company to work with for anyone that I know of. And a stupid scuffle over a huge project like this should be a big sign to others, "we treat these famous creators like poo, and we'll treat you the same". VU acts like it's theres to hold, while it's not even their baby. And what can anyone do to VU? Nothing that I can tell. Ok...ya'll get what I'm saying...this is purely a childish taunt.
Once again, a very nice summation. However, I was under the impression that VU would merely hold the game because of Valve's own intentions of releasing Half Life 2 over Steam. Anyways, it is definitely just another "childish taunt." Sigh.
