Looking for a budget card and choices have come too:

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
or
ATI (Sapphire) 9600XT 256MB

Which would you use in an Athlon 64 3400+ w/ Aopen MK-89-L Mobo combo.

9800 Pro, go w/ the pipes as opposed to the RAM.

OK, so Im going with the 9800 Pro but have a couple more questions?

Does brand matter (MSI, Powercolor etc..) or straight ATI?
Gonna have a TV tuner to record my fav shows, Should I get the "All in wonder" or AGP card and own PCI tuner?

As of now Im between these 3 cards:

Thanx again

Powercolor is crap, I've seen way to many problematic cards reported over at Delphi in the past year or so.

Everybody has been raving about the MSI lately. My understanding is that it's based on same 9800XT core, so with a little OCing you basically have a 9800XT at a 9800 Pro price (minus the extra RAM).

Personally, if getting a 9800 Pro and needing a tuner, the All-In-Wonder makes the most sense IMO.
