 well ok then! I guess there is something to this overclock phenomenon. Since my main system is offline my backup 2.4B/845PE system is providing the primary duties.
I never much dabbled with it, it's been my "just leave it alone" system. But when I installed Painkiller is was a killer pain to play on. About ~60 frames when the action got heavy and sometimes the load was so much it hard crash the system and the whole damn thing would reboot!

well! After 30 minutes of Trial & Error with the BIOS settings I finally got her stable at 2.7GHz (600FSB) 1.575v with some Corsair DDR400 "LL" stuff. I think they have BH5 under the hood. Just a guess. Pimpin that 5:4 ratio it's at DDR375 speeds with a full 2-2-2-6. And the result is a drop kick 100+ frames now. 80 when the action gets heavy. Whole damn game runs smoother, and what a game! Very Serious Sam like. Guess all ya need is a Radeon 9500 Pro level card to play any game on the market. Pffffft.
