Back in June, Origin Sr. VP DeMartini criticized Steam for "cheapening" game creator's intellectual property:

Head of EA Origin Rages Against Steam Sales Model

Now, Origin is holding a Labor Day Sale with half off some of the hottest games.

So is it me, or does someone seem to be taking a play from Steam's playbook?

EA is just jelly that it can't be like Valve or have the money Steam makes.

Having an opinion and sticking to it regardless of the results is a sure path to failure.

Origin is just adapting to the realities of online game sales.

To be fair, in that article, it's noted

So apparently, a 50% discount is fine, but a 75% discount is too much.
