Getting the driver disc to run is the least of the problems we've experienced. It was resolved by NOT booting from the disc and instead just plugging in the adapter (the opposite of what the directions tell us to do).
From that point, things go downhill.
The automatic settings and detection systems do not work. The IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS servers all have to be entered manually (maybe a security feature on my router prevents automatic detection?).
Long story (very long) short, we had to call XBox support to get through this. I've not studied up on wireless networks to have done this alone. I have to admit that XBox support was very competent.
It's not even my XBox. I hate that console crap. Now my kid's trying to set up an account. Sounds like that is almost as much fun as getting the wireless adapter working.
