I'll see what I can do to update this on a daily basis but it likely won't be until early in the evening each day. Which isn't too bad since the daily deals aren't updated with new ones until noon (eastern time) the following day. Of course you can also look at your Steam client & see the deals. Personally I've picked up BattleField Bad Company 2 and I'm sure I'll be getting more.

P R A I S E T H E L O R D and praise the lord of Steam !

I've been wanting Battlefield BC2 since the beginning of summer but it has always been $50. And I was judging the graphics by screenshots posted all over the web which seemed dull compared to FarCry 2 ...

Well 5 hours ago I went ahead and got it for $6.79 @ steam. Installed it within 1.5 hours and started playing Single Player for 2 hours and multiplayer for 1.5 hours for the evening....

OMG.. I must have misjudge the graphical quality of this game in the past because because the graphical quality surpassed FarCry2 by at least 20x !! The color is indeed vibrant, lively and dynamic !!! I will be putting alot of hours on this one for sure !

Thank you STEAM for being so generous with the xmas special sale !!! I got my L4D2 around halloween of this year for $6.79 also !! I missed the Borderland $9.99 last month tho !

Yep...and I don't have any extra money. I'll take this as a sign of not spending.

Shit, I haven't even touched Indigo Prophecy, Unreal Tourney 1/2/3/200X/etc, Left 4 Dead 2, and a few others. The only games I bought last Christmas that I actually played were Braid and X3:TC.

Anywho, this year I want to really cheap out, and just buy some of the really inexpensive stuff. Maybe if Just Cause 2 if $7.50 like it was last week I'll buy it. The Witcher for $5 looks interesting, as does Defense Grid for $2.

And that's about all it's worth. Just got done playing with it for the past couple hours....fun for the first couple missions then it just gets downright boring.

Just Cause 2 is still $7.50, I just bought it last night.

Also Assassin's Creed 2 is $12 IF you have AC1.

And Deus Ex is really that good? I should get the collection? Not that I'll play it anytime soon, but worth having?

Yes Deus Ex is worth playing. Even if the collection was $30 I'd still recommend it.

The story is as deep as you want it to be. You can talk to almost all characters but you could also spend a day just reading people's emails and other communications.

It's labeled as a first person shoot/RPG. You can play it many ways. Stealth or guns blazing are options in most scenarios.

The graphics are a bit dated for the first one (3DFX Glide is an option  ) but if you can get past that you'll be rewarded with a very unique game experience.

/end of sermon.

To be honest, I haven't been really impressed these last few days with the Steam sales. The only game that I have picked up so far is BF: BC 2. The next game that looked like a possible winner was Splinter Cell Conviction; however, no one I know has played it, and I hear there is very terrible DRM on it.

so far I've bought..

1) Battlefield Bad Company 2 ($6.78)
- finished single player in 8 hours ( 2 and a half days). Excellent graphics / gameplay
- feel bummed out on multiplayer because theres no new maps ( I guess this game is mod-disabled). Love few of the maps for rich graphic details such as Val Paraiso.

2) Battlefield 2 complete ($4.99)
- I already have BF2 before, but lost the disc and don't have the armourd fury and the other 2 pack.
- Spent over 1 day downloading / installing maps and mods from the modding community, so now i have gazillions of mods/maps !
- I actually like this game over BC2 !!! even though its several years older than BC2. anyone feel the same way ? Its prolly the massive support for mods/maps

so yea.. so far.. just 2 games :)

Global Agenda
Super Meat Boy
Tropico 3 + Expansion
The Witcher Enhanced Edition
Zeno Clash
Serious Sam The Second Encounter HD
Can't wait to get started on the Witcher. Global Agenda was probably the best steal for me so far. I love it.

It's a third person shooter MMO with no monthly fee that plays like TF2. It mainly focuses on PVP content in the form of battlegrounds but their are some pve and raid stuff to do as well. I really like it.

The only real problem I have is that it starts of with a questing area but there's only one and it will carry you till about level 18. After that you need to do missions (dungeons) or pvp content for XP.
