Maximum PC

Just thought I would let everyone down at the MaximumPC forums know that I made a video showing performance while playing and recording/compressing video on the new MacBook Air 13".

(Don't expect anything too fancy, I wanted to get it out as soon as I could...so I used Windows Movie Maker, an iPhone 3GS and Microsoft Sound Recorder, lol...)

No offense, but why is it that whenever someone posts these videos, they seem to have nothing in the house but a table, a camera, lights and the object being recorded? Rhetorical question, mostly.

Great performance BTW, too bad it's on an Open-Source unfriendly Mac. (Could install windows on a partition though. Sacrilege? NOOO WAYYY...lol).

How does installing Windows on a Mac make it more FOSS friendly?

At least OSX is built on a FOSS framework and with a bit of work, you can run a lot of linux-based FOSS software on a Mac.

I see... I guess it's just that I don't like the Mac's GUI and various other stuff. Plus, I like not having to configure anything more than I have to in order to play a game and PC's have both Mac's and Linux beat on that front for now. That's not to say it's not possible, I have seen DRM-bloated programs run in Linux just fine, but that was after one of my friends had spent hours configuring Wine.

You would know more about that sort of thing than I would.
