Indie game that looks ridiculously scary. Check it out on Steam or their website: www.amnesiagame.com

I have a few friends in my WoW guild that same that game is pretty damn scary. Really immerses you and just freaks you out. I've watched the trailer on Steam and looks like it would definitely freak you out. There's also a demo on Steam.

They're in a WoW guild. I'm pretty sure that means that they find sunlight, women and exercise scary.

Actually a lot of the people in my guild are actually pretty successful and have families. Been friends with most of them for going on 4 years or so and we've actually met a few times IRL.

For the most part though, I would agree with you. Unfortunately I'm too old for most of that crap and when I pick a guild or clan I make sure I know what I'm getting into. They apply to receive me as much as I apply to join them. Some of my closest friends are people I've met online and have known for 6+ years.

I tried out the demo for a few minutes and it has potential.

The only complaint so far, and this applies to quite a few games, is that you're expected to solve puzzles and interact with the world but not all objects are interactive.

An example is the use of the lamp and oil. You find a lamp but need to find oil to put into it. Haven't found any oil yet but there's tons of wine and liquor bottles. I try grabbing a bottle but the hand icon doesn't appear so I can't interact with it.

It's to stop you from getting yourself drunk and thus kill the nightmare.

I got halfway through the video and felt like it was from the old game "Thief". It's dark and has a moody ambiance, but not so scary IMO. I'd have to play the demo to have a real opinion, but for now it just looks like it's been done before. Looks good for an Indie though!
