I'd like to play MOH: Airborne but the requirements state you need a 2.8Ghz processor. I have a 2.2 Athlon 64x2 dual core 4400+, 2 GB ram and an Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX running Windows XP.

I was kind of hoping that this machine would run the game. I don't own the game yet...I had hope to figure out if it would run acceptably before I bought it. But, for sure, I don't want to fool around with frame freezing and erratic game play.

I have three other previous MOH games and they all played fine but the newest is still several years old.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice/tips? I'd appreciate it

Thank you! I didn't know that there was a demo--doh!

DL'd the demo and after almost giving up on it, I set the resolution back down to 800x600 and checked "vertical frame sync (or something like that) and everything worked fine. I enjoyed the demo and I'm going to buy the game.

BTW...for anyone reading this...don't try to get anything useful by way of support from Electronic Arts. Their response team..even after my question was bumped up a level...can't read English and don't know anything about computers or their own games. If it were a randomly generated computer response that I got over and over again, through five email exchanges, I might have gotten something more useful than I did.

Is that even possible without violating a dozen internationally accepted human rights?

Dude, I used to play MOHA on a system running a 7900GS, an athlon 64 3800+, 2GB DDR 400 and a bunch of regular basic additional hardware. Nothing special, but I was able to play it @ 1024X768 with no problem, but of course I can play it now, even better and @ higher res + all eye candy cranked, on my newer system. Point is, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to play it well on your system, as long as you don't try to crank up all the eye candy. Good luck, and btw, the demo's NOTHING in comparison.
