Has anyone heard of a game called OpenSims (or maybe Open Sims)? I am building a computer for a family member that supposedly played it at a summer computer camp, but can't find any information on it (as far as system requirements, etc).

Or it may just simply be referred to as "Open Sim" but it's a game, not the security suite system that I keep finding on Google searches.

Any information??

I found it by just Wikipediaing Open Sims.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenSimulator

The Wikipedia page doesn't have any requirements but from the screenshot from the actual Open Sims page looks pretty basic. I would think about anything you build now would be able to easily run that.

Wiki links to the source too: http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Main_Page

It's BSD based, so it's very low level. Probably why is was found in some camp. Not snubbing it...just saying, it's basically a BSD based version of Second Life. Neither should be of any load on your PC.
