I think Chumly had mentioned Worms in one of the discussions here before, if not I remember someone doing so in the past 3-6 months in one of the threads. Anywho, Worms Reloaded is coming out on PC at least on Steam August 26th. It's 17.99 right now.

Wasn't me that brought it up, but I did reply that I'm ready to play it!

 So is this a brand new worms game or a remake to work better on the newer versions of Windows.

Oh man I'm so stoaked I pre-ordered it last night. I still haven't figured out what they mean by "exclusive content" only for the pre-order. Does that really mean that ONLY people who pre-order the game will be able to use/see certain hats or other content? That after the release date no one will be able to aquire it?

Not sure, I will see if I can find out tonight. I will probably pick it up. As if I need yet another game that I won't have time to play.

Been playing it. Short summary: A fair amount of things were changed, many of which I question and disapprove of. I wish they would improve the menu... worms2 had an awesome menu, Armageddon had a screwy but still usable one, this one makes me facepalm.

What about the gameplay? And can you speak to the changes, negative and positive?

I'm on the fence.

The gameplay has changed quiet a bit.

Bazookas do 45 damage instead of 50. As do grenades. Dynamite does 60 now I think.

The physics is very dampened vs the old system. In womrs2/A you could send a worm halfway across the map with a well aimed bazooka shot (or any explosive weapon). In the new one it's hard to throw a worm more than 10 worm lengths. Anyone who used to get 2+ kills with a bazooka/grenade shot will know the disappointment.

I don't know if it's a bug or part of the campaign but I'm on mission 29 and i am sick to death of hearing "to cheese or not to cheese" The enemy worms have had NOTHING else to say but unfunny crap about cheese so far. In the old games there were more than a dozen voice tracks with tons of great stuff to say. There are other voice tracks for your use or multiplayer but the single player has been kind of a let down so far. I also don't think I've heard more than one or two backround soundtracks. In the other worms games they had a good 8+ dark, foreboding AWESOME tracks that never got repetitive. I'm sure there are more and I'll hear them in multi.

Ninja Roping has improved it's auto aim part (when you fire second and third ropes) but has lost it's energetic feel from the worms 2 days. Not sure how to compare it to Armageddon.

More to come.

I read some things on the Steam forums that this is a console port. Not an entirely new PC game. Could be the reason for some of the differences and lack of feel of the old Worms games.

I don't think it is a console port.

http://forum.team17.com/showthread.php?t=41983

This thread sums up nicely changes and complaints, including one I neglected to mention: grenades and projectiles seem to have a margin of error. In the past when you chucked a grenade there was infinite granularity in the results, now I think there's code to make it easier to hit worms.
