Maximum PC

just watched a bit of the E3 conferences, and i saw the new x360 units that are going on sale in a few weeks. i do own the first gen XBOX (the old school one), so i was wondering if i should invest in the newer one, the X360 Slimmer version.

and you feel the need to move your 360 while playing a game on a regular basis? lay the 360 flat and try not to pick it up while its powered on and has a disc in the tray and you really shouldnt have any problems.

I think I'll probably get one. Kenetic, the hard drive and the wireless alone add up to the cost of what it'd be to upgrade my current one so I might as well get a new console under warranty and controller while I'm at it.

I am hoping I am wrong about the Kinect, that thing looks incredibly dumb. I used to be a die hard Xbox fan, but I have lost faith in it. The kinect looks like just some gimmicky, upgraded eye toy. I just don't see how they can integrate that into real gaming. Even games like tiger woods, which should be perfect for motion control, being iffy without anything to hold onto.

The new Xbox looks nice, but it's basically what it should have been from the start. I have had 2 red ring of deaths, and I think I am probably past warranty now, so if mine dies again, maybe I will consider it.

Bottom line, Microsoft has not impressed me lately. I went from playing nothing but xbox to playing almost nothing but pc games. Microsoft needs to get some good exclusives back. The only thing that will get me to turn my xbox on is the new Gears of War and Halo games. They should also just make xbox live free. Steam is way better.
