Rather than leave my game disks in my drive like many games these days require I prefer to mount image to a virtual drive with daemon tools. This not only speeds up loading but also prevents scratching the disks which inevitably happens when you're always popping them in and out of the optical drive. This has worked for me for several games but Battlefield Bad Company 2 doesn't seem to be tricked. I tried mounting the .mdf/mds files like I usually do and I tried mounting it as a .mdx as well but I still get the "please insert the original disk instead of a backup" message. Is there something special I have to do. I could change it to online authentication but that would require reinstalling the game.
