1. Have you ever shared your password with anyone? anyone at all?

2. Do you use the username/password on your WoW account that you do for forums/message boards/ect?

3. Is your password a easily guess password? or is it a "strong" password including numbers/Upper and Lowercase letters/special characters?

I had this happen to me awhile back.

I was phished, learned a lesson about cruising WoW sites when half asleep, but I still scanned with AVG and then Malwarebytes.

Change your login/password, and if possible the email account you have linked to WoW.

I also highly recommend purchasing an authenticator through blizzard, they aren't foolproof, but it does add another layer of protection.

And just some general tips, don't tell anyone your password, don't play WoW on a public computer, and watch out for sites that try to phish your information out of you by looking exactly like blizzards site.

Other than that, not much you can do.

AVG used to be my choice of AV, but now all my systems run Microsoft Security Essentials. In most ways its far superior.

I also use MCSE

Since I had my account hacked pre mcse, I did a couple things to help.
One was installing MCSE, the other was installing an extension in chrome that blocked flash.

I was told by a bliz rep that some sites can infect your pc via flash and I had that problem specifically with piratebay.

So new virus protection, a new extension that blocked flash and I leave no sites up when I log into WoW.

The last thing you should do, buy an authenticator. Its 6 bucks.

Some UI add-ons are used to hack WoW accounts.

What kind of UIs do you use?

Did you get an email for WoW Cataclysm beta and sign up for it using your username and password? There are a lot of fake sites out there that are copies of the legit site so, they can steal your username and pass that you enter. Becareful when you get emails for any mmo. My WoW account has been disabled for sometime now and I keep getting emails that say my account will be banned if I do not go to this site and log on to confirm it.

So take care with those sites.
