Here is my problem: I have a decent rig that I built 6 months ago, and have no limitations to what I can play. But I really just don't know what to play. I usually am an MMO person. I have been trying Global Agenda, but it does not hold my interest. I played WoW for months but lost interest. I have played a few single player RPGs, but I dislike them because I will buy them. Play for 8-10 hours. Then beat them and never play them again. I am looking for something to play that can hold my interest. I play some shooters, but can only play for 20-30 minutes before I get bored. Any suggestions?

have you ever tried strategy games?

http://store.steampowered.com/app/4710/

try that demo and see if you get into it

did you try single player FPS's or multiplayer?

what single player RPG's did you try?

Well, I played through Torchlight, and Borderlands. The reason I am thinking that MMO's will spark my interest again is because I was never bored when I played WoW. I do not want to play WoW. But I do miss the "questing" style.

I think you might like The Witcher, Dragon Age: Origins, Elder scrolls 4: Oblivion, Elder Scrolls 3: morrowind, Fallout 3 and Mass Effect

all of those are much more story/quest driven than the two games you mentioned

Warhammer online is got the same flavor as WoW but a much better mythos behind it imho. It's also F2P up to level 10 and endgame PVP is supposed to be the best of any MMO.

Runes of Magic is a free to play MMO that is pretty decent. I havent played for a year but it was interesting.

it has micro transactions but not for anything that really affects the game ie: you cant buy a badass sword or armor

so the players who pay money don't really have a huge advantage over the free players

or at least that was the way it was when it launched

you never mentioned why you quit wow but if it was just because of the cost then you might like runes of magic

there is also guild wars, it doesn't have a subscription but you do have to buy the game. there are only 20 level and if you want you can make a lv 20 PVP only character right away

guild wars is more focued on PVP but it does have lots of Pve too

Well, In this case, May I ask what your preferences are on ALL MMOs that you have played? What have been your favorites? I quit wow, because of the boredom of being 80. Everyone just makes more and more 80s

Get halo pc and download Halo Custom Edition. Then get the Open Sauce postprocessing build and load it up with the map called Revelations. That will bring your computer to its knees

Fallout 3, Oblivion, X3:Terran Conflict, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead (2), Supreme Commander, Garry's Mod, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, Mass Effect and Titan Quest Immortal Throne are some good games from all genres.

Also Aion online is quite a bit prettier then WoW and just like WaR, has the same questing formula. Those are sadly the only 2 I can think of that I tried but from what I understand D&D Online also has the same, and its F2P with premium access and Lord of the Rings Online is basically a WoW clone from what I under stand for the PVE player and, again, better mythology behind it.

Get the RUSE Beta off of Steam for free while it still lasts.

For me, the games that have held my interest for a long time are Counter Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2, and the PC version of COD:MW2 even though the online play isn't as good as the consoles, but I just love the keyboard and mouse when playing FPS. If you like RPG's give Dragon Age a try.
