This will sound stupid, but I am having a problem getting into COD4. Now I'm not a noob to COD...been playing it since the very first game the very first year, but I can't seem to get into COD4. I bought a key from you Blizzard (Blizzard, legit you know) and downloaded the full version. I installed every patch from 1.4 or 5 to 1.7 I believe). The game loads, my key is authorized, the game opens and I can see everything. I can pick my weapon and all that but I can seem to play.

I can see everyone else and toggle thru them but my character just isn't there, you know, with a gun in front of you...it's like perminant spectating when I'm not really spectating. I look at the menu (F4) and I am on a team, but everyone else is in white while my name and everything else on my line is yellow. In CODUO and before you would "Click to Activate"; on this COD4 I don't see that option, so I sit there like a spectator, not being killed or anything, but doing absolutely nothing.

Doesd you know what I can do. I'm not all that convinced I like that game from what I have observed, but after paying for a key and all, I at least want to get to try it...at least once. So, if you know what I am doing wrong, or what is missing, please tell me. Maybe tell me if I am supposed to see come kind of "Click to Start" or something...I don't know because I'm at a loss. Could it be a patch I'm missing or something gone wrong in the registry. It simply makes no sense to me at all and I am befuddled to say the least!

Have you tried different servers? Do all of them act the same? Do you have Punkbuster installed for that game?

Nasty

Well for the 360 version, you have to choose your class first or else you become a spectator.

Blizzard didn't sell you the game. Activision Maybe, but not Blizzard.

Ummm. Blizzard doesn't sell keys to any other game other than Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft series.

Considering Blizzard and Activision merged, Blizzard may very well have been the ones to sell keys now.

As to the menu issue, you also have to select the class on the PC version. Maybe a google search will net some results of a similar issue to one you are having, I've done this a few times with games to get successful results.

Do you honestly believe that site is affiliated with Blizzard? Just because they bought a similar URL?

You are either a spammer playing dumb - or really really stupid.

I hope for the sake of your gene pool's survival, you are a spammer playing dumb.

Then again, that means we'll see Jr. pulling this shit later on down the road.

I changed my mind, I hope you are stupid.

I heard that Blizzard also sponsors every snow storm to happen in the world.

What my friends are trying to say coolwalker is that you have bad grammar and spelling and they are having a hard time telling the difference between you and the 5 emails that get filtered into the trash asking them to send their bank account information to a stranger so they can deposit $50,000 into it.

Also, that site has NOTHING to do with Blizzard the gaming company responsible for World of Warcraft etc ... that's just insanely naive. Any company that relies on another's name in this fashion for a trusting social contract in order to elicit money from you is NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

I wouldn't buy from that site no matter what the deal was.

Have a merry Christmas or happy holiday. Please figure out a way to get more tech savvy.
