I bought a used iBook that has Panther installed. It is a ppc 800 mhz so nothing special and most likely will not run Leopard very well. Any one have an old copy of Tiger they are not using?

I think I would need either the retail disk or an iBook specific version.

I think I have OS 8.5 somewhere around here.

Have you tried installing Leopard or are you just speculating how badly it might run. There should be options to disable some resource-heavy things like desktop-effects and such.

lol, I think you missed the part about it being a 800 mhz ppc. It has the maximum of 640MB RAM so I can only imagine how poorly leopard would run.

I have access to a Leopard install disk at my job but I thnk I will be better off with Tiger.
