We have been discussing it, but there hasn't been a formal discussion. Most of us have been pointing people to other forums or sites with better info. However there are a couple here (myself sort of included) that have some experience with it.

As far as how to get an image, that is up to you, but we have pointed people to places where they "hint at it". They officially have the same policy. The only thing I really feel I can say is

I do intend to try to get it working on my main desktop as I think I will have better lucky. I have just been really busy and I haven't had time to devote to trying new OSs out (ie Win 7 beta).

i) Absolutely no discussion of where or how to obtain copies of licensed software. We will always assume that you are working with a retail copy and you will not tell us otherwise. For the record ... everyone absolutely should go buy a copy of OSX if they are using it. Apple deserves to get paid and they charge a fair price for an OS + productivity software (iWork and iLife are both available bundled with OSX for less than $200).

ii) Installing OSX on non-Apple hardware is a grey-area as far as their EULA is concerned. We discuss installation of OSX on a 'Hackintosh' in generic / theoretical terms.

iii) Do it.

Awesome thanks I pretty much assumed that. I'm aware of the fact that installing it is a gray area, and the no no on the piracy talk. I'm a member of the Insanelymac forum as well.

Oh and I've installed it before on a gigabyte 945 chipset mobo/2.66ghz celeron d/2gb ddr2 667/intergrated sound/network/video but I formatted cause I wanted to see how the beta for 7 ran on it.
