Im trying to use my kbgear tablet with kubuntu and its recognising fine in the devices but the error im getting is

"Insufficient power to operate usb device"

All three port on my laptop are producing the same error. Upon further inspection I realise that the system is showing the ports as 1.1 when they should be showing as 2.0. i know my laptop is only 2.0 ports, there are no 1.1 ports, at least externally.

How can I get the ports to recognise as 2.0? is there another driver I need?

there is one usb 2.0 listed in the device manager but its not grabbing the tablet at all.

acer travelmate 2310
usb 2.0 (based on sis but I cant find the exact model)
kubuntu intrepid 8.1 KDE 4.1

thanks
