sr0 would identify to me the device for your CD ROM.
Truthfully, i sounds like a bad burn and when the SATA or ATA module is loaded fo the C2D, it finds the error (which probably isn't occurring on the other machine since it's probably using a different module)
I'm not certain if there's a way to force it to use something else as a temporary solution, just to install and deal with the kernel modules after the fact.
Further research confirmed what you said. So I used Clone CD to make an image file and burned that to a new disc and whata ya know it booted. Thanks furball146 for pointing me in the right direction and now I know what that error number means and how to fix it. KOMMANDER
