I seem to be having a problem with the system clock on my macbook, it wont update any more, or it could be but it seems to think that it is 6 hrs off (i mean that is says that it is 12:00pm when its 6:00pm) and im pretty sure that the time zone is correct. What is going on, has this happened to anyone else?
Oh PS i just recently bootcamped windows and i installed wireshark which i had to put a file in the startup items folder in order to use.

Do you happen to be syncing you time with somewhere? Because it sounds you're getting set to UTC, and then getting compensated for time zones (and I'm assuming you're in the central time zone somewhere)

well i had it set to apple's time server then i thought that on some off chance it wasn't working correctly that wasn't the case. What is UTC, and what do you recommend i do to fix the problem? And yes Im in the central time zone if it means anything. How did you know which time zone i was in?

A difference of 6 hours should put you in the central time zone since daylight savings ended a month ago.

I suspect you're installation of windows is what hosed you here and the below link may help you out. You may need to force a time update after applying the edit.
