some of you may have seen my last post on changing the size of and ntfs partition, which was solved thanks to furball146. however now that i installed linux i am unable to boot. in the boot process, the whole thing comes to a standstill when trying to activate the swap partition. i even have a feeling that after about 3 minutes, the thing gives up trying. if someone could give me a simple way to fix this i would appreciate. mybe i should reinstall? (i am trying to avoid that)

If you can, boot from the CD and try to use fdisk to ensure that the swap partition is set up properly. If you aren't sure, write down the values that fdisk reports for that partition, and post them here for us.
