What OS do you run?
- win7-64 on gamer pc. WinXP on tv recording pc. PCLinuxOS-KDE4.4 on this.

Why do you run it?
- PCLinuxOS for me is the best suited for me ; Mandriva was my previous favorite.

When did you start using it?
- PCLinuxOS about 2 years now. I was on Mandriva for 4 years.

App Questions:
Which browser?
- Firefox 4 (for everything) and Chrome (mostly for youtubes)

Email client?
- none, i never have use for this.

Audio and video players?
- VLC, Dragon player (video)
- Rhythmbox and Audacious (the GTK version, NOT the winamp version)

Office progs (editors, etc.)?
- Abiword and Gnumeric

General Questions:
What OS do you run?
Depends. My dev stations all run MacOS X 10.6. I do all my development in Debian under Virtualbox.
My HTPC runs Debian.
My car tuning computer runs WindowsXP (because of a legacy parallel port EEPROM writer)
The supercomputers I work on all run Debian.

Why do you run it?
OS X, because that's what the rest of the team uses at the lab (the mail server is exchange-only, and none of the popular mail clients for linux speak exchange natively).

Debian, because I've used it since '96, and by happy circumstance, all the work I do is for big iron that runs Debian.

What OS do you run?
I run Peppermint OS Two (A derivative Lubuntu) I use this on my netbook.

Why do you run it?
It's very simple, clean and not as bloated as some of the newer Linux Distros, so it runs very fast and is also efficient with battery life. I actually started using when a friend told me to try it when I had XP on my old Dell, since then it's been my favorite.

i started on and still love mint. debians a little harder, but more advanced, so rather then chose i dual boot
