Ok, I've been toying around with Linux lately. At home everything seems to work great. Here at work however, It seems like it takes forever for my Linux boxes to resolve hostnames.

I don't think the network is congested, as I don't have these problems on my Windows boxes. So, I'm thinking I have something in my network configuration incorrectly configured.

How do I make a list of my current configuration? I've tried running 'ifconfig', but it doesn't seem to give me as much info as 'Ipconfig /all' in windows. Am I missing a switch somewhere?

I'm currently running Ubuntu 4.10 (Debian based). I'm currently using DHCP and am running on an NT4.0 domain... Well, I haven't joined this latest PC to the domain yet, but it gets it's internet connection via the network.

The current PC I'm using is an HP Kayak XU-800. Dual PIII 1Ghz, I840 chipset, 3Com 3C905B NIC. Running 'lsmod' shows that it's using the 3C59x module.

If you need any additional info, let me know and I'll see if I can provide it. If not, I'll probably asking you how to get that info. :P

Thanks.
