Ok,
On this box, I'm running Ubuntu Linux (Debian based). I don't seem to have any problems printing from Firefox or Evolution. But, I can't seem to print from Openoffice.org 1.1.2.

I've used the OO.O printer administrator to look at it and some of the options appear to be blank... Shouldn't this just use the default system printer?

This is printing through CUPS. It sends the print job to our Win2k Printserver, which then spools the job to the printer. I've looked at the Win2k server and it's running fine... In fact I can print perfectly fine from my windows box (Printing to the same printer/print server)

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sounds like a problem With Your ISP i suggest you contact them!

JK no really i work for an ISP and i get that crap all the time, "techs" call us and ask If we are preventing the use of BLAH BLAh BALH, or the internet is busted cause i cant print or, can you change the password for the admin account on this computer sorry, i am just bitter and guess for some reason felt i needed to tell everyone on this fourm

Anyway with my experiance With OOo is that you have to acctully have to setup CUPS in the OOo as a printer.

Hope that helps

Ok, here's a screenshot of the OO.O printer administrator:

It looks like, according to this, that CUPS is the printer spooler, which is what I want right?

Man, I should have learned Linux a while ago. I put it off too much. :(
