Regarding PHP on Red Hat 9.

I want to upgrade my PHP installation to 4.3.9, and then eventually to 5.

On rpmfind, the newest version I could get that was specifically for RH9 was 4.2.2-17.2.

I assume that I'd be asking for trouble if I tried to install a Fedora 2 RPM on my RH9? Do I have to install the standard tar.gz?

Thanks.

Personally I like to live on the edge: I sometimes mix and match RPM distros/versions. As long as the dependencies are satisfied there is rarely a problem.

Hehe...ok, thanks. :)

I guess it depends on how bad I want it. :)
