We are running Apache 2.2 under Flash Media Encoder in Windows Server 2003. After installing and setting everything up our site times out when trying to load, but if i comment out "loadmodule php5...." in the Apache http.conf (but leave all the other PHP settings, and even the directory where they are) the site loads fine, something in the load modules is choking our site but i cant figure out a solution.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd suspect there's a service account that doesn't have any permissions to the modules relating to php5. Your logging is probably going to be a good place to start.

Sorry man...you're not giving people a lot of work with with your question and certainty it doesn't look like something related to Alt OS (you are running windows server)

Have you tried WAMP server? It works perfect for me. It contains apache + php + mysql already set up.
