Maximum PC

I have an Asus Seashell EEE Pc. I recently installed the Ubuntu netbook remix, as windows xp was becoming annoyingly slow. For some reason though my computer is now choppy, and moving pages around or scrolling up and down creates this slideshow effect that is very annoying. Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

What are the exact specs of the machine?

My initial thought is you need to load the restricted drivers for the video card or something didn't build correctly when building the module if you did load them.
