I'm trying to install virtualbox on my Ubuntu 10.04 laptop.

I download the package, and try to install it. it comes up with some "can't compile kernal" message and tells me to run some command as root. I run the command, and it tells me to look at some error log. Here is the log:

Log wrote:

Any ideas?

So did you install gcc and the kernal headers, syms, and source or just grab the package in through Synaptic?

I had to run this command:

Code:
sudo apt-get install dkms

Then run the command it gave me again as root, which recompiled the kernal.

This was in Ubuntu 10.04 netbook (yay more battery life)
