I lost the issue of MaxPc that tells how to diable the WindowsXP load screen. I did a search and found one, but it's not the same. The one I found shows a bunch of system info at startup. The one I want shows a blank screen until login. Also, in the same issue it tells how to make a one click shutdown and restart shortcut. How? :) Thanks for any help. -Mac

I read the issue with the 'restart' and 'shutdown' button shortcuts and added them to my desktop. Very cool indeed!

Is there something similar for 'Switch User'?

TIA!

Very nice info. I always wondered how the theme makers changed those starup and shutdown screens.

Are you talking about msconfig. Disable GUI boot? I use this and it just sits there blank until logon.
