I installed InCD ver.4.2.9.1 with NERO 6 Ultra, formatted my dvd, "took aprox 5 minutes to format" and when i drag a file over it gives me this error :

Files on this CD-ROM drive are read-only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CD-ROM drive.

whats up with this?

You might try updating the version, they're at 4.3.0.5 now.

ok, i upgraded to ver. 4.3.0.5 and my computer would not reboot... so i have restored my computer twice trying to figure out what is wrong with InCD... the old version will load and format my disc's.

The new version will install, and when i click reboot it restarts my machine and gets to the point where i am supposed to log in, and my monitor stays blank. I left it there for 30 minutes thinking it might be updating something, and it didn't move... so i restored my pc using the ole handy "ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE" and now im back to my first post... ^

Wow, that shouldn't happen. Sorry you had to deal with it.

Plan B: open My Computer> Rt click your burner and select properties, in
the recording tab uncheck the enable cd recording on this drive box. Go back and see if you still get the read only notification.

Do you use WMP?

Quick update.

The crash you described is most likely a conflict with the ahead plug-in in WMP and the the new version. Nero suggest that people uninstall WMP, install the updated Nero software, then reinstall WMP without the ahead plug-in. Sounds like a pain to me, but if you're bored one weekend it might be entertaining.
