Maximum PC

I've been using Windows XP for nearly 16 months and the SP2 patch for about a month. I noticed about 2 days ago that my usual rapid boot time has increased dramatically, sometimes taking up to 60 seconds - used to be only about 20 seconds - and Windows itself has started to become a bit sluggish in operation.

I do weekly antivirus and spyware checks and I keep my system as clean as possible. I decided to investigate the problem by making a boot log. I have edited out all of the drivers that did load so the ones that didn't can be seen clearly:



As far as I can tell, the drivers listed are existant in their respective folder(s) yet will not load for some reason. According to my Norton Antivurs as well as my Bulletproof spyware cleaner, my system is free of any virus or other malicious software.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited. I'm tempted to reinstall Windows with the slipstreamed SP2 CD I made, but I'd like to avoid that amount of work unless I have no other choice. Any other information needed will be given upon request.

Sounds like a basic driver conflict at first. May also being hinting at corrupt blocks on the HD. Install anything recently after SP2?

And these should be in DRIVER.CAB, and not in different folders IIRC (C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386\driver.cab). Take a look in there and see if you have things like processr.sys or PCIDump.SYS. Those are pretty important in order to run I'd think.
