Ad-Aware is now Ad-Aware SE

CWShredder is no longer being updated.

For spam you can sign up with 0Spam. Free for one e-mail address, additional services for a fee.

For security check out Prevx. Prevx prevents changes being made to your system and stops most normal virus attacks.

Diagnostics

For data recovery, I've heard excellent testimonials regarding Handy Recovery 2.0. Their evaluation version allows 1 file recovery per day for 30 days (as opposed to a file size limit like most trial runs). They also have a freeware version, Handy Recover 1.0, which is pretty admirable of them.

Handy Recovery

Killer, thanks.

The Mcafee and the Norton scans are worthless.. they don't dont clean.

CWShredder is still used on many PC's i work on daily - still shred'n.

I'll test the spam services on our ISP servers.

HandyRecovery sounds good, ill test.
Thanks.

What's funny is most customers come in with "Norton" all updates, yet I run these other scans on there machine and my work orders look like:

"Found and cleaned 83 worms", "Found and cleaned 4 Trojans", "Found and cleaned 16 virus's"

I then educate on Norton. - then uninstall it.

This is daily.
