Here's some background. I had Windows 7 Professional running fine on a 4 drive RAID 0 array. I recently cloned that array to an SSD, which is now my main system drive and it's working fine.

A few days ago I upgraded the array to Windows 8 and then to 8.1 because I wanted to get the feel of everything and make sure my programs and games would work properly before upgrading the SSD. Aside from a problem with Punkbuster, everything seemed to be working okay.

Today, I received a suggestion from Punkbuster Support, but when I tried to Boot the array to Windows 8, it just keeps rebooting. I get a message Driver_IRQ_Not_Less_or_Equal (jraid.sys).

Anyone know what this is and how to fix it.

Thanks,
Steve

Try updating your JMicron SATA controller adapter drivers.

EDIT: This is what the solution I found keeps saying, and I don't really know how to boot into a system that is having trouble booting on a RAID 0. I guess you could try Safe Mode and update from there (you may want to find another computer to download those drivers and transfer it over via USB).

The RAID isn't on the JMicron controller, it's on the Intel IHC10R controller. The SSD and the Optical Drive are on the JMicron controller and working fine. I guess I could try upgrading the Intel controller. Here's a little more on my system config.

64 bit Windows 8.1
Gigabyte EX58-UD5 motherboard
Intel Core i7 940
Intel X58 Chip Set
6 GB Ram
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 780 TI OC
4 250GB Western Digital VelociRaptors in RAID 0
1 LG CD/DVD combo drive
Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro

Keep in mind, my Windows 7 setup was running fine for years on this same array.

Well, things have gone from bad to worse. Last night, after numerous retries, I finally got Window 8 to boot up and was able to use it for about 3 hours with no problems.

This morning when I booted to the Windows 7 drive, I got a message that the Windows 8 drive had consistency problems that had to be fixed. I let it do it's thing, but this is the 3rd time this week. Guess the best thing at this time is to just wipe the drive and start from scratch.

Thanks for your reply anyway.

Consistency problems, usually point to a bad hard drive (check it with its diagnostic software from the manufactures site) or bad ram (use Memtest 86 to check your ram one stick at a time). It could also be a bad or loose data cable, try switching it/them out, replugging them.
