Personally I prefer Chrome because it saves all my bookmarks and other important data so that when I have to reinstall my OS or log onto another computer all my stuff is still there. Which to me is a great boon. I am not sure if any of the other browsers are capable of this.

But what are your (any and all who read this) reasons for choosing your favorite web browser?

Bruce

I like Chrome because it's fast, easy, has helpful little features and takes up very little screen real estate.

I still use Firefox because there are a few extensions on it that Chrome doesn't have that I use. And I never really bothered with which browser is "faster", because in terms of human time, they all perform the same. I guess the only thing I'm still waiting on is per-process tabs, but it's not a huge issue yet.

I can also do the same thing OP is talking about, only retaining the exact state across all platforms: copy over %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox as needed. :3

Plus Firefox has it's own thing too for synching

I started using Netscape Navigator in 1995 (I think I paid $60 for it), and effectively I still do as it evolved into Communicator, then Mozilla and now Seamonkey. Seamonkey still is the same interface as Communicator (lots of different underlying code though as Mozilla wisely ditched it for their Firefox project). I have tried others and keep coming back despite others superiority in an area. I guess I just like the integrated package (which can also be a problem if one part of the interface crashes it takes everything else with it) and interface. I routinely use its outstanding Composer to write in HTML and even created quick and uncomplicated web pages with it. Most of the Firefox addons and extensions work in Seamonkey.

I prefer IE because it's compatible with more business applications.
