Greetings all :)

So in my career I have used dedupe software for enterprise things which was a huge time saver. Posed with the daunting task of organizing about a decades worth of files and pictures (of which there are multiple backups!) it occurred to me "Hey I wonder if there is decent consumer-grade dedupe software?!"

After a quick google search I realize the overwhelming answer is yes, and there are a lot out there!

So my question here is, has anyone used some of these, had good experiences and can recommend a good one? My fear is replacing the time of my manual organization with finding good software lol. I have very limited time in the week so this will be a huge time saver!

Also, perhaps instead of manually backing files up I could grab some decent software to handle this for me as well. Is there any decent backup software out there for relatively cheap?

Some of the programs only checks for exact duplicates. If you have multiple versions of the same file, then you'll have to do things manually.
