In the September issue (18:9) you have a very interesting explanation of how to create a Windows 8 thumb drive (The Ultimate thumb drive toolkit). I see it as a perfect method to test Win 8 without having to actually install it (shudder).
However, your process supposes a Win 8 installation disc, or iso. I bought the Win 8 upgrade for 39$ back in January. How would I go about creating the Win 8 thumbdrive ? Would it work to install Win 7 to the drive, according to your guide, and then installing the upgrade over it ? If only Win 8 has the capacity to run from a thumb drive, this may not be possible.
I am sure I am not the only owner of the upgrade who would like to use your guide to try out the OS without danger.
