I have windows 7 pro 64 bit OEM installed on my new ASUS G75 laptop which originally came with win 8 64 bit. I purchased an OEM copy of win 7 pro 64 bit from Amazon and I am currently running it.
Now you know what I am currently and WERE running. I have the product activation key which Belarc- Advisor got for me for my win 8 64 bit OEM copy before removing it for win 7.
My question is, can I download a .iso OR the Windows 8 upgrade and install Windows 8(using my legit OEM product activation key on a separate partition and dual boot it?????

Just for the record. I am by NO means looking to upgrade my daily OS to win 8. I am looking to install and play with win 8 to get use to it to help co-workers find stuff and fix issues.

General intelligent opinions welcome. Thanks.

System Specs:

Asus G75 ROG Laptop 17.3"
Intel 510 SSD 120gb
Seagate Momentus 500gb
12 DDR3 1800mhz
GTX 660

Good idea. I was thinking about it but now that another has mentioned it, I will. Will report back afterwards.

I have a Toshiba with Windows 8 ! It is a Model: P855-S5102 Toshiba - Satellite 15.6" Laptop - 8GB Memory - 750GB. I just can't handle Windows 8. I'm an old guy and I just have trouble keeping up anymore. I went back in to Best Buy where I purchased the laptop to buy Windows 7 Prof. I wanted to put Windows 7 Prof on it. The people at Best Buy said it couldn't be done. I ask why, they just said it couldn't be done. I'm trying to find out why. CAn you help with any information, anyway to do it, or why they would say that?
Thanks so much!!!

You can get windows 7 here

You'll probably need drivers from Toshiba for Windows 7 here

Just want to point out something...

If the driver was made for a Windows NT 6.0 (Vista, 7, 8), then they're mostly compatible with each other. I'm not saying it's 100%, but you can usually get away with using say a Vista driver for 7 and a 7 driver for 8.
