It's quite enlightening to see that the best version of Windows to come along since OS/2 Warp - heh,heh - is really held together with bailing wire and staples.

I have yet to install it as I'm on dial-up, but anyone notice any noticeable enhencements aside from the obvious?

i experienced the same kind of slow down feeling that i had when i installed Sp1. it feels like the more patch i have installed the slower my rig runs. also ppl have found problems with DivX and SP2 at the Inquirer.

you can check it out here:http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=17862

While I was downloading and installing it, my computer felt pretty sluggish.

But once I rebooted, all was fine.

The most noticable enhancements were the firewall and pop up blockers. They are a little more flexible as far as allowing you to temporarily allow stuff, and they are on by default, which is nice. The systems that I have installed sp2 on are running fine, but they are all fairly plain jane type workstations. I think the more customizations you have on a system the more likely problems will happen. And if you can't run a few tweaks then why bother? All in all I would suggest loading sp2 only on machines that are fairly stock like a workstation or the machine you use for internet and email. If you have a machine rigged for gaming or high end programs I would suggest delaying for about 30 to 45 days for the bugs to get worked out.
