 Post subject: Internet Explorer 7 will it work with Windows 7?

I am running OEM Windows 7 Family edition 64 bit. I currently have IE 9 installed but mainly use Firefox 15.0.01. I need to access a web page from my employer occasionally. Problem, It will not work with IE 9 or 8, only 7. Nor will it work with Firefox so Ive been told by the company help desk at my employer. I was told only IE 7 will work with it. Can I install IE7 on my PC running Windows 7 64 bit and still run IE 9?

The only way you can run IE7 with Win7 is to run Windows 7 Pro, Enterprise, or Ultimate as your OS so that you can use XP Mode and run IE7 within that.

Alternatively you can use another VM like VirtualBox and install Windows XP on it.

Yup. Definitely an option for any flavor of Win 7.
