To summarize:

• Windows 7 automatically does all the SSD optimizations for you. So those websites saying what you should do with an SSD in Windows 7? They should already be done. Though I guess it doesn't hurt to double check.
• The page file should be on the SSD, because...
  
  • Pagefile.sys reads outnumber pagefile.sys writes by about 40 to 1,
  • Pagefile.sys read sizes are typically quite small, with 67% less than or equal to 4 KB, and 88% less than 16 KB.
  • Pagefile.sys writes are relatively large, with 62% greater than or equal to 128 KB and 45% being exactly 1 MB in size.

Well good thing I found this when I did. I'm suspecting my computer is misbehaving to the point of "screw it, reinstall"...

On the note about the pagefile though... If you have an obscene amount of RAM (8GB or more... yes I consider 8GB "obscene"), the pagefile should be toned down manually so Windows doesn't try to match it with how much RAM you have (which I believe is the default action).

Depending on the size of your SSD, I would still move it on a separate drive. Every little bit counts when you use your SSD for games and programs.

As for the pagefile size itself, the max should be 4gigs. A system with 4gigs of RAM or more usually has at least a gig available.
