I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
When I click on the link for Internet Explorer 32-bit, nothing happens, both from the Start menu and from the x86 IE programs folder. Nothing shows in task manager under processes or application for iexplorer. I have tried to run in regular and Administratior mode.
When I click the 64-bit IE, it opens and runs fine.
All other browsers working fine.

What I have done so far:
-Reset IE in Internet Options
-Ran sfc /scannow -- no errors found
-uninstalled IE 9, tried on IE 8
-Reinstalled IE9 and tried again
-Used the Microsoft IE FixIt tools
-Logged in under another user
-Booted in Safe Mode
-Downloaded and ran the Fix IE utility
-Ran SF IE Restorator
-Ran system restore and rolled back to a few days ago.
-Ran AV and malware programs
-Reset Winsock
-Tried IE (with no add ons) - nothing happened
-Ran ProMon and see a lot of "name not found" results when I click IE

None of the above showed anything or changed the problem. I have yet to find any other fixes on the Internet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need IE 32bit for a program launcher for school. Thank you in advance!

Snark, but stop using IE. Chrome, FF...they're more friendly. I'm a Windows guy, but I'd rather use Safari over IE any day.

Stop it!

(FireFox, IE Add-on if you must...crappy that a school does that though. I'd question what you learn out of this class)

I totally agree and use Chrome most of time, Opera and Firefox now and again, and recently started exploring Safari. Haven't used IE for years, except for this one class...

To update the thread, I tried all of the aforementioned tasks, tried a dozen or so more, and came to no good outcome. Used Easy Transfer, back up my important stuff and reinstalled; which, btw, seems to be to only fix for anything that goes wrong with MS programs..... :x

I don't understand why you would want to use the 32 bit version of IE within a 64 bit operating system. What is so important about it anyway? The 64 bit does the same thing only faster than the 32 bit browser.

Nasty
