When I put a disc into either optical drive or remove them, XP will not refresh the labels.
For example, a CD Audio disc will still say "DVD-RAM Drive D:" instead of "CD Audio D:".
Sometimes right clicking then clicking "Explore" will let me see the contents of the disc, but if I go from one type of disc to another (audio CD to DVD+RW data disc, for example), I won't be able to see the contents of the new disc except by rebooting.
Launching an app like WMP or VideoLan and opening a disc will work normally.
I've Googled this for the past four hours and Microsoft says this was fixed in SP3. Um... no.
Any ideas? Does this involve Auto-Play? I disabled it in Tweak XP, but re-enabling it does not help.
Plugging in and unplugging a USB thumb drive works fine.
