I have an old Alienware Area 51 P.C. that I'm selling to a friend. I have replaced the original hard drive and upgraded the O.S. and obviously the OEM logo on the system properties is gone. Does anybody know a way to pull the OEM logo.bmp from the original install disk without actually having to re-install the O.S. that came with the P.C. (came with XP Home, upgraded to Pro).

So, wait a sec. This would show up on the General tab in System Properties? I built my own machine, can I put my own logo there?

Tried searching the OEM cd, but no luck. The file is probably compressed somewhere or in a hidden folder. That's why I build my own now. OEM hassels. Oh well, if anybody has an Alienware oemlogo.bmp let me know. Thank's

Why not just create your own alienware logo by doing what that guide says? I'm sure you could find any alienware logo off their site.
